Teresa Mills to Receive Women of Appalachia Advocacy Award

Teresa Mills, Executive Director of Buckeye Environmental Network, will receive the 2017 Women of Appalachia Project Appalachian Advocacy Award for her "many years of service and lives saved" through her work to stop environmental toxins in Ohio.

According to the organization's Founder and Curator, Kari Gunter-Seymour (Peterson), the award honors "women who have dedicated themselves to enhancing the well being of Appalachian culture, Appalachian women’s health, Appalachian families and Appalachian land issues" throughout Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky. Teresa will receive the award on April 14th at Ohio University.
